A man is fighting for his life after a shooting on Christmas Day.
After being shot in the chest on Christmas Day, a 20-year-old guy is still in serious, potentially fatal condition in the hospital.
After a 20-year-old guy was shot on Christmas Day, four men were detained on suspicion of attempted murder.
According to South Yorkshire Police, the incident happened in Sheffield’s Darnall neighbourhood. At 11:27 p.m., emergency personnel were dispatched to Wilfred Drive due to reports that a man had been shot in the chest.
He is still in the hospital in a critical, potentially fatal situation. Four individuals were promptly taken into custody in relation to the incident, according to a South Yorkshire Police spokesperson.
The suspects, who are 20, 22, 28, and 29 years old, are still being held. Police asked anyone with information to contact them, including any pertinent dashcam or CCTV evidence.
“This is a horrific incident that has left a guy fighting for his life,” Chief Inspector Andy Knowles stated.
“Gun violence puts innocent individuals at risk of getting caught up in an offender’s conduct, posing a huge threat to our community’s safety and well-being.”Under no circumstances can it be accepted.
“We are dedicated to taking forceful, immediate action against anyone who chooses to carry illegal firearms or participate in violent behavior, but we are stronger with your support, the support of our community.
“We appreciate everyone who has helped officers with our investigations thus far, and we encourage anyone who thinks they may have video or information to help to contact us.
Police personnel stay in the neighborhood to respond to community inquiries and concerns.
